Lois Anne Ross

BOARDMAN-There will be Services at 11 a.m. Thursday at Lockwood United Methodist Church for Lois Anne Brooks Ross, 84, who died Sunday morning at Beeghly Oaks. Lois was born December 23, 1929 in New Castle, PA a daughter of David Richard and Frances Spiker Brooks, coming to the Youngstown area at the age of five. Lois was a 1947 graduate of South High School and was a member of the National Honor Society. Lois was then employed with the General Fireproofing Co. She then resided in Wappingers Falls, NY for twenty years. Lois worked as a loan officer at IBM Credit Union in Poughkeepsie, NY and Massachusetts, returning to the area in 1993. Lois was a member of Lockwood United Methodist Church, where she was co-Treasurer and Chair of Staff, Pastor, Parish relations. Lois was devoted to her family and was an impeccable housekeeper. She enjoyed cooking and gardening. Lois is survived by her devoted husband of sixty years, Harry Ethelbert "Bud" Ross, whom she married, September 4, 1953; her son, Jeffery Allen (Susan) Ross of Windsor, Ct.; her daughter, Lauren Marie Ross of South Vienna, OH; her beloved grandchildren, Matthew (Michelle) Ross, Timothy Ross, Grace Jenner and David Jenner; her sister, Marian (Carl) Teets; her brother, Joseph (Patty) Brooks and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her brothers, Albert and David Brooks. The family would like to thank Pastor David Hill and special friend Wendy Thomas, for their care and concern for Lois. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the Lane Family Funeral Homes-Anstrom Chapel, 8387 Tod Ave. in Boardman and 10-11 a.m. Thursday at the Church, prior to the Service.
