Lois Ella Burt

LOIS ELLA BURT Youngstown-Funeral services will be held 12 Noon Sat. in Grace Lutheran Church in Austintown for Lois Ella Burt age 85 of 229 Matta Ave. who died early Wed. morning at North Side Medical Center. Lois was born July 19, 1918 in Youngstown and was the daughter of James Ray and Ella Mae (Crawford) Heckman. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Jolly Echo 500 Card Club, formerly was a member of the sewing group at New Life Lutheran Church and loved to cook and bake. Lois was married May 30, 1941 to George J. Girard who died Nov. 20, 1944 in WWII. She married her second husband Lee M. Burt on Oct. 18, 1948 and he died on Nov. 22, 1995. She is survived by a son Ray Michael Burt of Struthers and his fiancée Marie DelSignore of Austintown four daughters, Margaret Ann “Marge” and her husband Francis Houy of Hubbard, Ella Marie and her husband Albert Rayner of Edinburg, Pa., Evelyn Mae and her husband Dale Moore of Youngstown, Gail Lee Miller and her fiancée J. Wayne Hayward of Campbell, two sisters Dorothy B. Dieter of Liberty, Nancy Goist of Hubbard, 19 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Milton, James, infant Elmer Heckman, a sister Lavina Mae Rodway, infant granddaughters, Kimberly J. Rayner, Marge and Carolyn Houy and an infant great granddaughter Crystal Marie Perod. Friends may call at the Lane Funeral Home-Austintown Chapel from 5-8 PM Friday and 1 hour prior at the church on Sat.
