YOUNGSTOWN----There will be funeral services held 10 AM Thursday at the Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel for Lola E. Hardwick, 71 of Youngstown who passed away Monday morning in Forum Northside Medical Center. Lola was born January 18, 1932 in Viola, Wisc. The daughter of Delos and Mildred (Mayfield) Glick and came to this area in 1950. She had been employed as a sales person for the J. C. Penney Co. 10 years retiring in 2000. Lola was a member of the Ohltown Methodist Church,, the church choir and bowling league. She was also active with the United Methodist Women’s League and an avid member of Bodyworks and the Eagles. She enjoyed traveling, gardening and especially watching her grandchildren play sports. She loved to fly with her companion, Joseph Pavlick. Lola also loved attending the Packard Music Hall. Her husband, Ernest Hardwick Jr. , whom she married Nov. 1, 1951 died Feb. 17, 1988. She is survived by her father, of Westby, Wisc., two daughters, Victoria A. Israel of Lordstown and Kristine A. Graham of Marion, OH one son, James E. Hardwick of Andover, one sister, Helen Hendrickson of Madison, Wisc, four brothers, Gary, Richard and Eldon Glick of Wisc. And Roger Glick of Colorado and her companion. Lola also leaves 5 grandchildren, Joseph M. Lyden, Michelle Sylvester, Skye Hardwick and Alycia and Christa Israel and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother and sisters, Rose Hoeth and Virginia Newman. The family requests that memorial contributions take the form of donation to the American Cancer Soc. For Breast Cancer Research. Friends may call from 7 to 9 PM Wednesday and from 9 to 10 AM Thursday at the funeral home.
