Louis J. Ketter Jr., 85, of Howland Twp. passed away peacefully 4:20 PM Tuesday Jan. 18, 2011 at Cortland Health Care Center. He was born Nov. 3, 1925 in Warren the son of Louis and Nora F. (Eagan) Ketter. Louis attended Leavittsburg High School and was employed by Mullins Mfg., Copperweld Steel, and the Warren Hardware Co. He then moved to Boston where he worked in the maintenance field for many years returning to the Warren area last year. He enjoyed traveling, photography, and landscaping. He especially liked the outdoors and loved to feed the wildlife. Louis was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Rose Lawrence, and 2 brothers Charles and Paul. He is survived by 2 sisters Elizabeth K. Bulvony with whom he made his home in Howland, Mary (Hubert) McKenney of Southington and numerous nieces and nephews. The Rev. Bernard Schmalzried will celebrate a funeral mass 10:00 AM Friday Jan. 21, 2011 at St. Mary's Church of Warren where friends will be received from 9:00 AM until service time. Interment will be in All Souls Cemetery. The family requests that material contributions be made to the Leukemia-Lymphoma Society c/o Roberts-Clark Funeral Chapel.
