Louis Rugo—82 Austintown—Services will be at 10 AM Saturday at Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Louis Rugo, 82, of Austintown who passed away late Tuesday afternoon at his home after a seventeen-year battle with cancer. Louis was born May 21,1921 in Sharon PA the son of Dominic and Lucia Rugo, and came to the area in 1948. He was a Pharmacist and the owner of Wickliffe Pharmacy for 20 years from 1949 until 1969. Louis was a 1943 graduate of the Ohio State School of Pharmacy, a former member Wickliffe Christian Church, as well as a pioneer member of and founder of the 20 over 9 Amateur Radio Club where his call was W8BOO. He leaves his wife the former Edna Angles whom he married October 21, 1961, a son Michael of California, four daughters Kathryn (Glenn) Becker of Medina OH, Marilou (Alex) Gerena of Columbus OH, Peggy (Kurt) Albright of Louisville KY, Patti Rugo of Austintown, a brother Lester Rugo of Austintown, and a grandson Kurt Becker, a student at Bowling Green State University. Louis’ first wife, the former Sally Klinkert whom he married in 1945, passed away in 1959. Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 PM Friday at the funeral home.
