Louise A. Kellar, 96, formerly of Cortland, died 8:30 PM Sunday Jan.25, 2009 at Meadowbrook Manor Nursing Center following a lengthy illness. An area resident for over 65 years, she was born in West Virginia March 28, 1912 the daughter of Walter and Tacey (Shaver) Bolyard. A devoted homemaker, she worked at Mullins Mfg. during WW II and also did housekeeping for various families. Louise was a member of the Warren Church of God and she loved to cook. Her first husband Ralph Garrett preceded her in death and her second husband Denver Kellar whom she married Oct. 3, 1937 preceded her in death May 6, 2000. She also was preceded in death by a son Leroy Garrett, daughter-in-law Catherine Garrett, 3 sisters Lucille Martin, Gladys Pratt, Beatrice Bohn, and 2 brothers Valis Bolyard and Thomas Bolyard. Survivors include a son Robert (Nancy) Kellar of Lordstown, a brother Nile Bolyard of New Lexington, OH, 6 grandchildren Regina Armstrong, Karen Meadows, Melissa Gonzales, Robin Hopkins, Darrell Kellar, James Kellar, 6 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 12:00 PM Thursday Jan 29, 2009 at Roberts-Clark Chapel where friends will be received from 10:00AM until service time. Pastor Steven Sespico will officiate. Interment will be in Crown Hill Burial Park. Material contributions may be made to the Warren Church of God 2609 Weir Rd. NE Warren, OH 44483.
