Louise Marie (Orlandi) Mendish-- 89 Poland A memorial service will be held 4 PM Saturday, at the Lane Family Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Louise Marie (Orlandi) Mendish, 89, of Poland Twp, formerly of Brownsville, PA. Louise passed away Sunday morning, June 21, at her home. She was born December 2, 1925 in Brownsville, PA., the daughter of the late Gaetano and Elsie (Cicchetti) Orlandi. She worked as a bookkeeper with three different automotive dealerships for many years, first with Goldman and Childress, then with Mickey Burke, and retiring from Arnold Palmer, all in Pennsylvania. Louise was a graduate of Brownsville High School class of 1944, and was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church in Brownsville prior to moving to this area and living with her daughter three years ago. She was a member of the Rosa Garabaldi Lodge and The Sons of Italy, along with the Catholic Mother / Catholic Daughters all in Brownsville. Louise was an avid reader and enjoyed working in "word find" puzzles, watching classic movies and listening to swing music. She loved to dance with her late husband, Joseph Mendish, whom she married February 8, 1945. Joseph passed away in 1998. Louise leaves two children; Donna Frederick) Fletcher with whom she made her home, and Joseph (Bernadette) Mendish Jr. of Latrobe, PA., one brother, Augustine Orlandi of PA, as well as five grandchildren; Dana Kosco, Darcy Fletcher, Derick Fletcher, Erica Mendish, and Jessica Antell, and seven great-grandchildren; Kyle Kosco, Kamren Kosco, Emerson Fletcher, Ethan Fletcher, Jackson Boggess, Aiden Antell and Aric Antell. Besides her parents and husband, Louise was preceded in death by one sister Lena Abd, and two brothers, James and Angelo Orlandi. Family and friends may call from 2 to 4 PM Saturday at the Lane Family Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel where services will be at 4 PM.
