Louise Silvestri

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM Tuesday at St. Christine Church for Louise Silvestri who passed away peacefully on Thursday in St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Louise was born April 22, 1923 in Pacentro Italy, the daughter of Carmen and Philomena Avolio. She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Louise was a former member of the Pacentrano Ladies Auxiliary, where she was a founding member. She was a member of St. Christine Parish and also an avid bingo player. Her husband Giovanni Silvestri, whom she married January 6, 1941, passed away October 14, 2003. Louise leaves two sons, Carmen (Jeanne) Silvestri and Frank (Patty) Silvestri both of Boardman, two daughters, Anna (Alex) DiIanni of Boardman and Beatrice (Dominic) Capezzuto of Austintown, two daughters- in-law, Mary Ellen Silvestri of Youngstown and Lisa Silvestri of Mineral Ridge. She also leaves one brother, Guy (Rose) Avolio of Detroit, MI., as well as 16 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, Louise is preceded in death by two sons, Paul and John , and two daughters, Philomena and Barbara. Friends may call 5 t0 8 PM Monday at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel where closing prayers will be held at 9:30 AM on Tuesday followed by a mass at 10 AM in the church.
