LUCILLE HELEN BLUNT Canfield-A Prayer Service will be held on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at the Lane Family Funeral Homes-Canfield Chapel followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church for Lucille H. Blunt, 81, who died Saturday morning at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center. She was born June 29, 1931 in Dayton, a daughter of Vernon and Thelma Miller Hyre, coming to the area as a young girl. Lucille was a home-maker and a member of the church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed crafts and reading. Lucille's husband of 56 years, Vernon C. Blunt, whom she married June 10, 1954, died April 13, 2010. She is survived by her son, Terrence P. Blunt; her daughters, Mary Cathleen (Mark) Itts, Patricia Ann Reese and Bonnie Jennifer (Kevin) Jacobson, all of Canfield; her sister, Betty Miller of North Lima; her grandchildren, Amy (Lee) Nabb, Allison Rice, Alan Rice, Christopher Jacobson, Ryan Reese, Kelly Reese and Kyle Reese and her gr. grandchildren, Taylor, Austin and Ashton Nabb. Besides her husband, Lucille was preceded in death by her brother, Vernon Richard Hyre and her sister, Edna Mae Weller.
