Luella Janet Williams

Luella K. Williams, 90, of Niles, died on December 8, 2015 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born June 23, 1925 in Anderson, Indiana, a daughter of the later Oscar and Sara (Vine) Knai. Luella was a 1943 graduate of Niles McKinley High School. She worked for Fairhaven School Systems and workshop, as a teacher aid for 17 years. Luella was a member of Niles First Christian Church. She enjoyed baking pies and cookies, knitting and crocheting, and she also spent countless hours volunteering at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. Her most precious memories were spent with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren who she adored. She will be sadly missed by children; Karen (Tom) Connelly of Niles, Patty (Mike Witzky) Williams of Marysville and Bryan (Lisa) Williams of Niles, nine grandchildren; Tom Connelly, Megan (Brian) Gibson, Jon Witzky, Erin (Doug) Powell, Abra Williams-Witzky, Alex (Jessica) Williams-Witzky, Sarah (Jason) Catania, Matthew Williams and Benjamin Williams, and six great grandchildren. Besides her parents Luella was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband of 65 years, Thomas R. Williams. They were married on March 17, 1945; Thomas died on January 11, 2011. Luella was also preceded in death by two sisters; Alma and Martha and three brothers Sydney Bill and George.
