Lulu Belle Gross

Lulu Belle Gordon Gross, 95 of Cortland passed on to be with her Lord on February 20, 2010 at Gillette Nursing Home where she had been a resident for 6 years. Born the daughter of Ellsworth Andrew Gordon and Aurie Dell Hudson Gordon on March 10, 1914 in Windham. Lulu was a 1932 graduate of Windham, member of Bazetta Christian Church where she was active in the Ladies Aid, Bazetta's Fireman Auxiliary and the Blue Star Mothers. She was the loving mother, of Marie Gross Priddy, son in law James Farrell Priddy. A devoted grandmother of eight grandchildren; Lynda Marie Priddy of Cortland, Michael Leigh (Sherry) Priddy of Salt Lake City, Utah, Susan Ann (Eric) Priddy Johnson of Evans, West Virginia, Mark James (Janet) Priddy of Liberty, Nancy (Burt) Wyman of Tamarac, Florida, Thomas (Kathy) Sternthal of Tar Heel, North Carolina, Scot (Wilma) Sternthal of Fairmount, West Virginia and Tracy (Ronald) Black of Warren; 18 great grandchildren, 15 great great grandchildren and 1 great great great grandchildren; a sister Clara Gordon Garner of Warren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Henry Gross, her parents, a daughter Della Gross Sternthal; and siblings William Gordon, Mildred Gordon Christlieb, Grace Gordon Kelly and Carl Gordon. According to Lulu's Wishes there will be no calling hours and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Material contributions may be made to to Harbour Light Hospice in lulu's memory.
