Mabel G. Jones

Lakeland, Fl.- Graveside services will be 11 AM Monday (Jan. 10) at Brunstetter Cemetery for Mabel G. Jones, age 97 of 3256 Eastwood Dr. formerly of Austintown who died Friday (12/10/04) afternoon of natural causes at Highlands Lake Center in Lakeland, FL. Mabel was born June 3, 1907 in Liberty Twp., OH and was the daughter of Robert Allen and Ann Belle (Carey) Taylor. She had been a secretary at Frank Ohl Schools in Austintown, OH many years ago. She was a past president of the Austintown P.T.A. and founder and past president of the Austintown Fitch Band Parents. She moved to Florida in 1984 and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Lakeland, FL. Mabel is survived by a son William “Skip” (Marsha) Jones with whom she had made her home, two granddaughters Ashly (Dan) Baker and Danielle (Chad) Ellington and a great grandson, Tre Ellington. She was preceded in death by her husband William Jones who died Dec. 6, 1961, three sisters, Velma Creed, Gladys Batson and Blanche Taylor. Lane Funeral Home-Austintown, OH in charge of arrangements.
