Magdalen A. Koziel

YOUNGSTOWN—Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Monday in St. Brendan Church for Mrs. Magdalen A. Koziel, 66, of 3250 Quentin Dr., who died Thursday morning in St. Elizabeth Hospital Health Care Center. Magdalen was born July 11, 1936 in Youngstown, the daughter of Clement and Pauline (Klein) Smreck and was a lifelong area resident. She was a member of St. Brendan’s Church and the Catholic Slovic Ladies Assoc. She was a caregiver and housewife to her husband, Joseph Vincent Koziel Sr., whom she married September 5, 1959. She is survived by her husband and two sons, Joseph Vincent Koziel Jr. of Youngstown and Kenneth Christopher Koziel of Poland Twp., three sisters, Tillie Chachko of Struthers, Martha Barnes of Canfield and Margaret Swansiger of Boardman, and a brother, Clement Smreck of Austintown. Two grandsons, Joseph Vincent Koziel III and Kyle Christopher Koziel. Friends may call from 4 to 8 pm Saturday and from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm Sunday and one hour before services Monday at the Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.
