Maple Ruby Patchin

Maple Ruby Patchin, 83, of Cortland died Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at 4:32PM in St. Joseph Health Center after a brief illness. Born February 7, 1925 in Burton, OH, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Hazel (Cane) Gwinn. A lifetime area resident and graduate of Burton High School, Maple retired from Johnson Rubber where she worked as a press operator. Maple is survived by three children Russell Patchin of Niles, Hal Patchin of Newton Falls, and Linda Patchin of Warren, five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and five sisters, Rae Wagner of Wisconsin, Fern Webster of Huntsburg, OH, Margie Jones of Warren, Panny Finlaw of Bristolville, and Carolyn Brakeman of Orwell. She was preceded in death by her husband Henry Patchin, a son Dennis Patchin and by five brothers and a sister. According to Maple's wishes, there will be no calling hours or services and cremation will take place. The family has entrusted arrangements to the Roberts-Clark Funeral Chapel.
