Margaret E Mcmichael

Funeral services will be held at 7:30 PM Thursday at the Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel for Margaret E. McMichael, 91, of Canfield who passed away Sunday morning in Shepherd of the Valley Nursing Home in Boardman. Margaret was born August 31, 1919 in Youngstown the daughter of John and Laura (Lydie) Fries and was a lifelong area resident. She worked as a Secretary for the First Presbyterian Church of Canfield for 10 years and Dollar Bank for 15 years. Margaret was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in both Canfield and Youngstown where she also cooked luncheons and dinners for the churches. She was also a member of the Oddfellows in Canfield, and the Rebecca Lodge where she also did cooking for these organizations, and was a member of the Dublin Grange # 1409. Her husband the late Norman C. McMichael, whom she married June 22, 1947, passed away March 10, 1996. Margaret leaves two daughters, Ellen McMichael with whom she made her home and Ina Jane Reesh, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, Margaret is preceded in death by one sister; Ina Ruth Fries, and two brothers; Elmer and James Fries.
