Austintown- Funeral services will be held 1:30 PM Monday at the Lane Funeral Home-Austintown Chapel for Margaret Ella Catlin, age 83 of Austinwoods Care Center, formerly of Kerrybrook Dr. in Austintown who died Thursday afternoon at Austinwoods. Margaret was born July 25, 1922 in Youngstown and was the daughter of the late John and Frances (Parks) Loftus. Margaret was a beautiful Christian giving woman who touched the lives of everyone she came in contact with. She was a member of Struthers Methodist Church where she had been a Sunday School teacher and was very active in the church holding different offices and was active in the Food Pantry of the church. She was also active in Cub Scouts Den #84, Band Parents of Fitch and Warren Military Band. Her husband, Clyde Mackey Catlin whom she married July 16, 1940 died Dec. 2, 2002. She is survived by two sons William A. (Mary Rose) Catlin of Lordstown, Robert A. (Mary Ellen) Catlin of Canfield, a sister Helen Johnson of Plantation, Fl., five grandchildren Janet (Dennis) Shaffer, Judy Miller, Linda Catlin, Alisa (Tod) Perren, Ryan Catlin and two great grandchildren, Blaze Miller and Taegen Catlin. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and two sisters Betty Patterson and Mary Elizabeth Hargate. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to service on Monday. The family requests that material contributions be made to the church in Memory of Margaret.
