Margaret Jane Lyons

MARGARET JANE LYONS Age 83 Youngstown- Services celebrating the life of Margaret Jane Lyons will be held at 4 pm Monday at the Lane Family Funeral Home Austintown Chapel. Jane was born January 26, 1930 in Altoona, PA., the daughter of Chester and Marie (Nagle) Hoover. She was a member of St. Brendan's Catholic Church, former member of its Altar & Rosary Society, graduated from East High School in 1948 and retired in 1991 after 26 years from JC Penney Company Mahoning Plaza store. Jane was a Monday morning quarterback of the Pittsburgh Steelers and was a avid Steelers fan. She enjoyed going to the casino and playing the slots. Her greatest joys in life were her grandchildren whom she adored. She was a very loving kind and caring person. She will be sadly missed by her husband of almost 65 years, John F. Lyons whom she married November 25, 1948, children; Shirley (Dave) Pinney of North Jackson, Maureen Lyons of Youngstown, Karen Lyons of Warren and John F. (Holly) Lyons Jr. of North Jackson. She will also be missed by her grandchildren; Morgan Pinney, Amanda Deeds, Madalyn, Zachary and Delaney Lyons. Margaret also leaves her siblings; Sister Marilyn Hoover of Youngstown, Marlene Boyce in California Kelly Lyons whom she loved like a daughter and her beloved cat "Zoey" She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Marian, Lillian brothers George, Chester and grandchildren Maggie, Alexander and Zachary. Family and friends may call from 2-4 pm Monday at the funeral home prior to services.
