Margaret M. Babington

Funeral services will be 11 am Friday at Lane Family Funeral Home Mineral Ridge Chapel for Margaret M. Babington, formerly of Main St. Mineral Ridge, who passed away Monday evening at the Humility House. Margaret was born August 28, 1919 in Atwater a daughter of the late Charles John and Elsie Dora (Nidy) Andrie. A member of the First Presbyterian Church of Mineral Ridge, Margaret was a bundle distributor for the Daily Times for 20 years and then worked as a hostess at McDonalds for 15 years, retiring in 2003. She was a member of the Red Hat Society in Florida and a former member of Women of the Moose in Niles. Her husband Ellis G. Babington Sr., whom she married February 28, 1936, passed away March 10, 1978. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Patricia A. (George) Johnson of Mineral Ridge; a daughter in law: Joyce Babington of Niles; seven grandchildren; three step grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and her best friend and companion Alfred Parker. Besides her parents and husband, Margaret is predeceased by a son Ellis G. Babington Jr., six siblings: Inez Grate, twins Eldon and Eldis Andrie, Fred Andrie, twins Jim and John Andrie; and a grandson Ellis Gene III. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humility House or the First Presbyterian Church of Mineral Ridge in Margaret's name. Friends may call from 4 pm until 7 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
