Margaret M. Perhacs Racketa, 97, of Grace Woods Village passed away 6:57 AM Friday Aug.12, 2011 at St. Josephs Health Center. She was born Oct.18, 1913 in Slickville, PA the daughter of John and Mary Toth. After completing the 8th grade, she moved to the Sharpsville area in her mid-teens where she resided for seventy-five years before coming to the Warren area in2005. Margaret was the former owner/operator of Alexanders Market in Sharpsville in the 1950's and was a self employed beautician for many years. She was a faithful member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Farrell where she served as cook and was the organist. A devoted homemaker, she married Alex Perhacs at the age of twenty. Together they had 2 children, Yolanda and Richard, and after his death in 1968 she married Paul Racketa a year later. He preceded her in death in 1980. She also was preceded in death by daughter Yolanda, a grandson, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. She will be sadly missed by son Richard (Sylvia) Perhacs of Howland Twp., 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. There will be a memorial service at Sts. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church in Warren 10:30 AM Saturday Sept.3, 2011 followed by a luncheon. The Rev. Andrew Deskevich will officiate. Cremation has taken place and her ashes will be inurned in St. Mary's Cemetery in Sharpsville. The family requests that any material contributions be made to Sts. Peter and Paul Church 180 Belvedere Ave. NE Warren, OH 44483 or to Holy Trinity Church on Church St. in Farrell. Roberts-Clark Chapel was entrusted with the arrangements.
