Margaret (Mounce) Lash

Austintown- Funeral services will be held at 11 am Friday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Margaret Lash who died Monday afternoon at her residence. Margaret was born December 22, 1922 in Youngstown the daughter of Joseph and Hettie Joyce and was a life long area resident. Margaret was employed as an Operator with Ohio Bell and then worked 25 years for the A&P Grocery Stores until her retirement. She attended Highway Tabernacle Church and loved to go to Bingo and Flea markets. She enjoyed meeting with her friends for breakfast and lunch. Margaret graduated from South High School in 1941. She is survived by her children; Carol (Rick) Sherwood of Canfield, Sandy (Bob) Dota of Boardman and Tim (Mary) Mounce of Austintown. Margaret also leaves eight grandchildren; Debbie (Chris) Brienik, Sheri (John) Mitten, Heather Dota, David (Darlene) Sherwood, Brad (Debbie) Martin, Don (Amy) Sherwood, Todd Mounce, Josh Mounce and nine great grandchildren; Brooke Brienik, David and Lauren Sherwood, Devin and Miranda Sherwood, Matthew and Nathan Mitten and Patrick and Emily Martin. She was preceded in death by her husbands; Merle W. Mounce whom she married October 20, 1942 died February 12, 1987 and John Lash whom she married July 14, 1993 and who died December 16, 1993. Family and friends may call from 5-8 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
