WARREN-There will be a Mass of Christian Burial offered at 10AM Saturday, September 15, 2007 in St. James Catholic Church, for Margaret “Peggy” Smiley, 69, who passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at 5:30PM in the emergency room of St. Joseph Health Center as a result of a heart attack. Peggy was born January 23, 1938 in Spangler, PA the daughter of the late Clayton and Maude (Miller) Reffner. Peggy was a homemaker and a member of the church. She enjoyed playing BINGO, enjoyed camping, and sitting on her porch swing. Peggy is survived by her husband William “Bill” Smiley; a daughter Judy (Charles) Jackson of Ft. Leonardwood, MO; three sisters Jane Pavlick of Rockville, MD, Jennie (John) Hlaudy of Warren, and Dolly (Anthony) Bonanno of Warren; and two grandchildren Anthony and Ashley Jackson. Besides her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by a daughter Mary Smiley; two brothers Donald and Bert Reffner; and two sisters Ruth Brack, and Joann Weakland. Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 14, 2007 (TODAY) from 6 until 8 PM in the Roberts Clark Funeral Chapel 180 Garfield Circle, Warren and from 9:30 to the hour of service Saturday, September 15, 2007 in the church.
