Margaret Rogers Crawford

Margaret Rogers Crawford, 87, 219 Independent Dr. NE, Howland Twp., died peacefully at her home Thursday July 19, 2007 following a lengthy illness. She was born July 12, 1920, in Warren the daughter of Lawrence and Alice (Murphy) Rogers. A lifetime Warren resident, she was a 1938 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, and she attended Miami University of Ohio. She formerly was employed as a teller for the Union Savings and Trust Co., retiring in 1974. She was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Church. Preceding her in death was her devoted husband of 58 years William Crawford Jr. who died Feb.9, 2002, her daughter-in-law Maureen Fletcher Crawford, and a brother Lawrence Rogers. She was loved and adored by sons William L. (Nancy) Crawford M.D. of Warren, Lawrence Rogers (Evie) Crawford Sr. of Howland, sister Anastasia (Barney) Byers of Wauseon, OH, grandchildren Lara (Cliff) McCrary of Dallas, Megan (David) Taylor of Charlotte, William Fletcher (Courtney) Crawford of NYC, Stacey Fletcher Crawford M.D. of San Francisco, Lawrence Rogers Crawford Jr. and MaryElizabeth Crawford both of Howland, great grandchildren Maura McCrary, Crawford McCrary, Adeline McCrary, Brooke Taylor, David Taylor, Margaux Taylor and several nieces and nephews. The Rev. Don King will celebrate a funeral mass 11a.m. Monday July 23, 2007 at Blessed Sacrament Church where friends will be received from 9:30a.m.until service time. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
