Margaret Stanton

A memorial service will be held at 7 PM Thursday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Margaret "Peggy" Stanton, 67, of Youngstown who passed away Monday at her home. Peggy was born September 19, 1942 in Barberton Ohio, the daughter of Francis and Rita (Clapper) Stanton. She was a homemaker, loving mother, grandmother, and sister. Peggy was a graduate of North Olmsted High School class of 1960 and received an Associate Degree from Youngstown State University. She was a long time member of AA where she was very active and involved in helping others in the program. She leaves two children; Don (Lisa) Gnapp of Winter Garden FL, and Lori Cruz of Austintown, three grandchildren; Joe Fabian of Austintown, Kurt Gnapp of Winter Garden, and Jordan Cruz of Austintown, two brothers; Pat (Linda) Stanton of Fayette Maine, and Joe (Kathleen) Stanton of Augusta Maine, five sisters Christine (Larry) Reed of North Olmsted, Kathy (Jerry) Gabler of Richfield, Rita Stanton of Cleveland, Mary (Will) Smith of Berea, and Betty (Ernie) Behrend of Avon Lake, as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Peggy is preceded in death by a son Kevin Gnapp and a brother Michael Stanton. Family and friends may call from 6 to 7 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
