Maria Kren

Maria Kren, age 82 of Austintown, Ohio, died on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Humility House at 11:20 PM. She was born on September 4, 1932 in Transylvania, the daughter of the late Johann and Maria Seidel Schuster. Maria, along with her husband and her son, owned and operated Miller Marine in Lake Milton for 30 years, from 1983-2013 Maria was an avid reader and liked to crochet. She was a member of the Honterus Lutheran Church in Youngstown until it disbanded and then she attended the Bethel Lutheran Church in Boardman. She was also a past member of the Saxon Club. Survivors include two children, Gerda M. (Thomas G.) Shilling of New Philadelphia, and John L. "Hansi" Kren of Austintown; two grandchildren, Lisa M. (Aaron) Fockler of New Philadelphia, and Thomas W. Shilling of Columbus; and one great-grandchild, Isabella M. "Belle" Fockler. Other than her parents, Maria was preceded in death by her husband, Leopold Kren, on January 25, 2010, they were united in marriage on December 6, 1952; and an infant brother. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at the Lane Family Funeral Homes-Austintown Chapel, where family and friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Mr. Daniel L. Millard will celebrate Maria's life. Mrs. Kren will be laid to rest next to her husband in Green Haven Memorial Gardens in Canfield, Ohio.
