Marie Deeds

Marie Herman Deeds, 97, departed this life Thursday, November 1, 2012 at the Hospice House. Marie was born July 28, 1915, the daughter of the late Howard and Matilda Herman. Raised in Youngstown, attended Chaney High School, she went on to live and raise a family in town. Marie loved to knit, bowl, bake wonderful apple pies and attend functions at the area clubs. Marie enjoyed going to the mall on the bus and attending church at Wickliffe Christian Church. She loved to watch the Indians on television. On December 24, 1935 Marie married her late husband Harold Deeds Sr. Together they raised three children on the west side of Youngstown and when Harold retired they enjoyed traveling, fishing and spending time with the children. To cherish her memory, Marie leaves behind her son Donald (Lynn) Deeds, daughter Darlene Iarocci, daughter-in-law Harriet Deeds, sisters Mae Zufall, June Sharish, Juanita Vertucci, grandchildren, Denise(Alex) Georges, Tammy (Joe) Blazak, Jeff (Sharon) Deeds, Karrie Velez, Keith (Lori) Deeds, Christopher Seeger, Lisa (Kendall) Kokoski, Michael Iarocci, great-grandchildren, Rachel (Barry)Wardle, Adam Blazak, Dimitri Georges, Brandon Velez, Jared, Justin, Alyssa Deeds , Jaxon Deeds and a Great Grandson due in December along with many other extended family and friends. Marie was preceded in death by her parents Howard and Matilda Herman, her husband Harold Deeds Sr., her son Harold Deeds Jr., and her brothers, Howard Jr., Peter, Joseph, Sandy, Robert and William Herman. Friends and family can share in celebrating her life at Lane Funeral Home at 65 North Broad Street Canfield, Ohio Monday, November 5th from 5pm-7pm and Tuesday for one half hour to the service. Funeral will be Tuesday, 11:00 a.m. November 6th at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Canfield Chapel..
