HOWLAND TOWNSHIP-Marie Paxson, 90, of Independence Drive in Howland, passed unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at 3:35 PM in the emergency room of Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital. Marie was born August 13, 1916 in Berlin Center, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Frank L. and Ina Mae (Prather) Shively. Marie was a homemaker and a 50 year member of Lordstown Lutheran Church and its Women’s Group. She was also a 50 year member of the Ida McKinley Eastern Star. Marie is survived by her husband of 71 years William Alfred Paxson, whom she married on July 25, 1935; three children William David (Linda) of West Farmington, Ted Michael (Sarah) of Lordstown, and Mitchell Martin (Barbara) of Warren; a sister Esther Cook of Cincinnati; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by a son Thomas Alfred Paxson, three brothers George, Virgil, and Dale Shively, and a sister Sarah A. Strickling. Friends may call on Friday, December 15, 2006 from 4 until 7 PM in the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel, where an Eastern Service will be held at 4 PM. A funeral service will be held at 10AM Saturday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the memorial fund of the church.
