Services will be noon on Tuesday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Marion A. Stanley, 93, of Youngstown who passed away Saturday morning in St. Elizabeth Medical Center Boardman Campus. Marion was born March 22, 1918 in Youngstown the daughter of Fredrick and Laura Mabel (Popowich) Dieter. She was a graduate of Chaney High School and had worked in the offices of both Strouss Department Store and Lustig’s Shoe Store for several years. Marion was a lifetime member of Mahoning United Methodist Church and was the oldest living member. She was a member of the Rebecca Lodge in Canfield and an avid bowler. Marion’s husband, Edward A. Stanley, who she married June 2, 1948, passed away in 1985. She leaves her step son Alan Stanley, seven grandchildren; Edward A. Stanley of Tallahassee Fl, Scott A. Stanley of Girard GA, Thomas J. Stanley of Augusta GA, Christopher W. Stanley of Lexington KY, Nicole Packard, Laura Stanley and Edward F. Stanley all of Austintown, as well as six great grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, Marion was preceded in death by a son Edward F. Stanley, who passed away April 23, 2008, as well as a sister Violet Steinbaugh and a brother Fredrick Dieter. Friends may call from 11 AM until the time of services at noon on Tuesday at the funeral home.
