Marion Markovsky, 83, passed away peacefully July 21, 2011. She was born July 15th, 1928 in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania the eldest child of Marion and Mathilde Howard. She had 3 sisters, Martha, Alice and Lillian and a brother Bobby. She spent most of her adult life in Youngstown, Ohio after she married her husband, Walter, Sr. April 16tu, 1949. Together they raised their two sons, Walter, Jr. and David, started and grew a business, G&W Distributing until they moved to Cary, North Carolina in 1983. While living in Cary, she managed Aggie's Gift Shop for 4 years. In 1987, they moved to Clayton and she took a sales position at JC Penny's in North Hills Mall. She won numerous awards for her outstanding salesmanship and customer service skills. She was known for her Charity work, generosity, fabulous cooking and beautiful smile. She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years in 2001, her son David in 2006 and her daughter-in-law Cynthia in 2011. She is survived by her son Walter and daughter-in-law, Bridget, grandson Coult Markovsky (Cally), granddaughters, Marisa Markovsky Benton (Joshua), Nicole Markovsky Sameit (Paul), and Monique Markovsky Prato (Chris) She was the proud grandmother of 2 great grandsons, Caleb Benton and Drew Prato and 6 great granddaughters, Ella Claire & Anna Sophia Markovsky, Breanna and Blythe Sameit and Marley Prato. There will be a viewing from 3pm to 4 pm Sunday followed by a service at 4 pm Sunday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel.
