Marion L Augusta

Marion L. Augusta, 93 of Niles, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, December 12, 2013. She was born September 5, 1920 in Niles, the daughter of the late William and Minta Hutchinson Mullen. Marion attended Niles City schools and was a cook at the Golden Stallion Restaurant in Warren for many years. Her greatest pleasure in life was all of her family. With all her heart she loved her nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. In Marion's heart, they truly were a blessing and she will be missed by all. Marion is survived and will be sadly missed by her sister, Renee (Albert) Salerno; her nieces and caregivers, Lynetta (Bob) Sheldon and Jane (Roy) Albright and her daughters, Kathy Evans and Virginia Walker and son-in-law, Steve Walker. Besides her parents, Marion was preceded in death by her husband, John "Snappy" Augusta, whom she married July 3, 1945; two brothers, Paul and Russell Mullen and four sisters, Jane Bartlett, Annette Lawrence, Virginia Darrell and Martha Pitts. The family would like to thank all of the staff at Autumn Hills Care Center for their love and kindness to Marion, she loved them all. There will be no services for Marion, per her request, and she will be laid to rest at Kerr Cemetery in Weathersfield Township. Arrangements were entrusted to Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel in Warren.
