Marjorie Ellen (Burke) Smith, age 67, of Bristolville, died at 11:05 pm Friday, January 30, 2009, at St. Joseph Health Center emergency room.She was born February 28, 1941 in Virgie, Kentucky the daughter of the late Charlie Vernon Burke and Elsie Mae (Falke) Burke. Marjorie was a graduate of Virgie High School in Kentucky and was a homemaker. She enjoyed Bingo, crafts, knitting and collecting frog figurines. She is survived by her husband, Larry S. Smith, whom she married May 9, 1965; two sons, Larry S. "Snuffy" Smith Jr. and John M. Smith both of Bristolville; one daughter, Sandra J. Smith of Warren; two brothers, William Burke of Chapin, SC and Bailey Burke of Jacksonville, Fla.; three sisters, Evelyn Brewer of South Shore, KY; Janice Burke of Cortland and Sandra Kish of Bristolville. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Marjorie was preceded in death by three brothers, Donald Lee, Randall and Jimmy Burke and one sister, Barbara Burke. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to Noon Monday, February 2, 2009 at the North Bristol Christian Church in Bristolville, where funeral services will follow at Noon Monday. Rev. Dale Briggs and Rev. John Kish will officiate. Burial will be at Sager Memorial Cemetery in Bristolville. Arrangments were handled by Roberts-Clark Funeral Chapel in Warren.
