Marjorie J. Lynn, 87 Canfield: Funeral services will be at 12 noon on Monday, November 3rd at Lane Family Funeral Home, 65 N. Broad Street, Canfield Chapel for Marjorie J. Lynn, 87 of Marian Manor, Pittsburgh, formerly of Canfield who died Thursday evening at her residence. Marjorie .was born September 3, 1927 in Mineral Ridge, Ohio the youngest of eight children of the late Alva M. and Cora Boggs Lynn. Marjorie received her Bachelor's Degree from Ohio State University and her Master's Degree from the University of Pittsburgh in August 1952. Marjorie was a first grade teacher, beginning her career in the Youngstown Public Schools and later at Seaborn Elementary in Mineral Ridge. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Mineral Ridge where she was one of the first women ordained as an elder. Marjorie was very active in the church and had occasionally played the organ. She was a proud member of the Bethel Fife and Drum Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution and also the Mahoning County Retired Teachers Association. She leaves four nieces, Betsy Teti, Mary Beth Lynn, Anne Lynn, Barbara Jean Loitwood; two nephews, David Lynn, James Lynn and many great nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Marjorie was preceded in death by five brothers, Charles Lynn, George Lynn, Raymond Lynn, James Lynn, Robert Lynn and two sisters, Marion MacBeth and Grace Medland. Friends may call on Monday for one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. The family requests material tributes take the form of contributions to the Charles M. Lynn Memorial Scholarship, Ohio State University College of Engineering, 122 Hitchcock Hall, 2070 Neil Ave., Columbus, OH 43210
