Marjorie W. Hitchings

Services will be 2 PM Tuesday at the Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel for Marjorie Wellendorf Hitchings, 80, of Canfield who passed away Friday evening in St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Marjorie was born May 29, 1927 in Canfield the daughter of George and Mary (Montgomery) Wellendorf. A graduate of Canfield High School and Youngstown State University, she taught Business Education for 30 years and served as Y-Teens Advisor at Lowellville High School. She was previously employed at G. F. Howard Construction Company in Canfield. Marjorie was a member of Canfield Presbyterian Church, Mahoning County Retired Teachers Association (MCRTA), Ohio Retired Teachers Association (ORTA) and Youngstown Area Business Teachers Organization. She was preceded in death by her parents. Marjorie leaves two sisters; Nancy Kochert of Canfield and Isabelle Davis of Vienna, VA., and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call from 1 PM until the time of services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family request material tributes take the form of donations to the Canfield Presbyterian Church Building Fund.
