AUSTINTOWN- Mark William Phillips, 40, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2016. He was born on May 22, 1975 in Youngstown, OH, son to Gomar and Eleanor Phillips. Mark graduated from Austintown Fitch High School, class of 1993. He went on to receive an associate's degree from California Culinary Academy in San Francisco, and a bachelor's degree in nursing from Kent State University. He worked as a registered nurse. Mark enjoyed cooking for his family and friends, fishing, gardening with his daughter and attending estate auctions with his son. In addition to his parents, Mark is survived by his children, Nathan and Olivia, and his former wife, Lora Welch Phillips. He is also survived by his brother, Jimmy Phillips, and sister, Debbie Phillips, as well as nephews Curt (Sandra) Hamm and Nick Hamm, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends. Mark is preceded in death by his brother, David Phillips. Friends can call at 2pm on Sunday, April 17, at First Unitarian Universalist Church of Youngstown, 1105 Elm St. There will be a memorial service at 3pm at the church.
