Martha M. Knarr

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday at the Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel for Martha M. Knarr of Canfield who passed away on Wednesday evening at Forum Northside Hospital. Martha was born March 16, 1915 in Springdale, PA the daughter of James and Margaret (Scott) Smyers. A homemaker, Martha worked for many years as a nurse’s aid at the Southside Hospital in Youngstown. She was a member of the Canfield Extension Group at the Canfield Christian Church. She leaves two sons: Ronald D. (Carol) Knarr of Canfield and James R. (Darlene) Knarr of Austintown. She also leaves four grandchildren: R. Scott Knarr of Valparaiso, IN, David (Jennifer) Knarr of Canfield, Jessica Knarr and Christopher Knarr. Martha also leaves four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Knarr whom she married March 22, 1940 and passed away on December 29, 1998. A son David L. Knarr as well as three brothers and six sisters also preceded her in death. Friends and family may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM on Saturday, one hour prior to the services in the funeral home.
