Mary A Futey

Mary A. Futey, 84, formerly of Arthur Dr. NW Warren died at St. Josephs Health Care Center 2:23 AM Wednesday June 14, 2006 following a lengthy illness. She was born October 4, 1921 in Portage, PA the daughter of Stephen M. and Mary (Pavlik) Futey Sr. A Warren area resident for most of her life, Mary graduated from Warren G. Harding High School in January of 1941. She worked at Packard Electric for over 40 years as a lab technician retiring in December of 1982. She was a charter member of SS Cyril and Methodius Church where she belonged to the Altar & Rosary Society, SOKOL, and formerly to the St. Theresa’s Sodality young women’s group. Mary enjoyed dancing, crocheting, knitting, reading and in her later years spending time with her family. She is survived by 2 sisters Margaret Nolfi and husband Eugene of Warren and Clara F. Hagan and husband Neil of Howland who were her caregivers along with their children niece Colleen Zallow and nephew Neil B. Hagan. Other survivors include nieces and nephews Dr. Eugene Nolfi, Mark Nolfi, Diana Sudzina, Edward Nolfi Esq., James Futey, Beverly Mindek, Stephanie Futey, Lori Sunseri, Jacqueline Futey, Jeanne Ipsa, Robert and David Futey. She also leaves numerous great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters Agnes Futey and infant Anna Futey, brothers John, Joseph, and Stephen Jr., and nephews Stephen Futey III and William Futey. Rev. James Walker and Rev. George Popovich will celebrate a funeral mass 10:00 AM Saturday June 17, 2006 at SS. Cyril and Methodius Church. Friends will be received from 4:00-7:00 PM Friday and from 9:00 -9:30 AM Saturday at Roberts-Clark Chapel. Interment will be in All Souls Cemetery. Material contributions may be made to the Heritage Fund at SS Cyril and Methodius Church.
