Mary A. Marlowe

Services will be 11 am Monday at the Lane Funeral Home Mineral Ridge Chapel for Mary A. “Bertie” Marlowe, 75, of Glen View Manor in Mineral Ridge who passed a way Wednesday evening. Bertie was born May 10, 1930 in Mineral Ridge the daughter of Frank R. and Margaret (Holbrook) Smith and was a lifelong area resident. She was a homemaker, loving mother and grandmother. Bertie was a former member of the Church of Christ in Mineral Ridge and was a former member of the VFW Auxiliary post # 4192. Mary enjoyed roller-skating, dancing and crafting. Her husband Richard J. Marlowe whom she married December 16, 1950 passed away November 1, 1965.Bertie leaves two daughters Patricia A. (Jon) Reno of Ellwood City and Deborah L. (Eric) Moore of Mineral Ridge, two sisters Betty Timko of Mineral Ridge, Norma MCGranahan of Adamsville, Pa., two brothers Chuck Smith of Mineral Ridge and Larry Smith of Niles, as well as five grandchildren; Gwen, Shawn, and Brandon Reno of Ellwood City, Richard and Scott Moore of Mineral Ridge. Besides her husband and parents, Mary is preceded in death by a brother Frank W. Smith. Family and friends may call from 2 to 5 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
