CANFIELD-A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at 10:30AM in St. Michael Catholic Church with Fr. Terry Hazel officiating preceded by closing prayers to be recited at 10:00AM in the Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel for Mary Ann Eighan who passed away at 11:15PM Saturday, September 5, 2009 in the emergency room of St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Youngstown. Mary Ann was born in North Adams, Massachusetts to the late Stephen M. and Mary Rose (Oliver) Brezas and was a graduate of Rutgers College. Mary Ann retired as an executive secretary with General Motors. Mary Ann was a member of the church, the St. Michael’s Garden Guild, Boardman Bridge Club and the Canfield Women’s Club II and she enjoyed gardening. Mary Ann is survived by her husband Joseph B. Eighan whom she married June 2, 1956 and together they shared four children Marianne (Dan) Valentine of Canfield, Dr. Mark (Young) Eighan, of Redding, CA, Dr. Michael (Dr. Diane Duckworth) Eighan, of Sartell, Minnesota and Dr. Ellen Brown, of Sartell, Minnesota; and eleven grandchildren. Besides her parents, Mary Ann was preceded in death by a grandson; three brothers Bill, George and Major Michael Brezas and two sisters Clementine Tovani and Vana Gatti. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 8, 2009 from 5 until 8 PM in the Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel 65N. Broad St. Canfield, OH 44406.
