Mary Ann Lanahan

Mary Ann Lanahan, 74, of Bristoville, passed away Friday evening August 7, 2015 at her home, with her family by her side. She was born March 23, 1941 in Youngstown, OH a daughter of Joseph and Julia (Napolitan) Cicchillo. Mary Ann was a 1959 graduate of Leavittsburgh High School. She worked for a Chick's Nursery and Greenhouse, but was a home maker most of her married life. Mary Ann married the love of her life Donald Lanahan, on April 30, 1960; they were married for 55 years. Mary Ann was an avid Cleveland Cavaliers, Browns, Indians and The Ohio State Buckeyes Fan. She enjoyed playing cards; Gin, Poker and Hearts. For the past 10 years Mary Ann and her husband would spend their winters in Florida. She lived life to the fullest, and enjoyed her family and friends, and her beautiful granddaughters. Mary Ann will be sadly missed by her husband Donald Lanahan, of Bristolville, her sons; Donald Lanahan, of Leavittsburgh, James (Robin) Lanahan, of Medina, her mother, Julia Cicchillo, of Bristolville, granddaughters; Brook and Theresa Lanahan, both of Medina; a brother James (Bobette) Cicchillo, of Bristolville and her sister Shirley (Richard) Coles, of Liberty. Mary was preceded in death by her father Joseph Ciccillo, and her son Michael J. Lanahan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday August 12, 2015 at 10:30 am at St. Williams Church, 5431 Mahoning Ave. Warren, OH. Father Michael Balash will be officiating. Friends and family may call Tuesday, August 11, 2015 from 6-8 pm at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Shafer-Winans Chapel 164 N. High St. Cortland, OH 44410; and one hour prior to the services on Wednesday, at the church. Interment will be at All Souls Cemetery.
