Funeral services will be held at 1pm Wednesday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Mary D. Crum, 51, who died Friday afternoon at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. She was born November 12, 1957 in Somerset, Ky, a daughter of George and Mary (Haney) Brinson, and she came to this area in 1991. She spent her adult life as a homemaker raising her three children. She was very active in the Boy Scouts for 20 years serving as Cub Master for Pack 84, she was also Commissioner of the Whispering Pines District, and she was Committee Chair of Troop 75 from the Youngstown Saxon Club. She was also active in the Austintown Local Schools PTA, and she enjoyed crafts. She is survived by her husband George W. Crum, whom she married August 31, 1979; her mother Mary Brinson of Cincinnati; three sons; Brian L. (Michelle) Crum of Missouri; Daniel S. Crum of Dendron, Va.; and Donald R. Crum at home; a grandson Logan M. Crum of Missouri; and two sisters; Georgetta (Curt) Taylor of Cincinnati; and Carol (Sam) Nipper of Louisville, Ky. She was preceded in death by her father, and her stepfather, John Stroff. Friends may call from 5-8pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
