MARY ELLA MATYAS, 83 Austintown-There will be a funeral service held on Saturday, January 5, 2008 at 10AM at the Lane Funeral Home – Austintown Chapel for Mary Ella Matyas, 83, who passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2008 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Mary was born February 10, 1924 in Lowville, OH the daughter of the late John and Anna Hoffmaster Lindsay. She was a graduate of Hubbard High School. During World War II she was a crane operator at Republic Steel. Most of all she spent her life loving and caring for her husband and children. Her memberships include the Church Hill United Methodist Church, and she was a life long member of a local card club. She also enjoyed playing bingo, and picnics. Mary is survived by, her husband, William Matyas, whom she married Feb. 21, 1953; 4 children, William J. Matyas, Debra and her husband James Hunter, George and his wife Dixie Matyas, and Patricia Matyas all of Austintown, OH; 9 grandchildren, Lindsay and her husband Paul Burke, Brittany Hunter, Kimberly, William, Erik, Jessica, Jamie, Brian, and Patrick Matyas. She was preceded in death by her parents; 8 brothers, Richard, Phillip, William, John, Charles, Donald, David, and Gerald Lindsay; 4 sisters, Dorothy Zinz, Ada Martauz, Lois and Nancy Lindsay.
