Mary Gilbert

There are no services for Mary “Sally” Gilbert, who passed away Tuesday at Forum Health Northside Medical Center. Sally was born April 27, 1913 in Monessa, PA a daughter of the late Alexander and Mary Murdock. She was a bookkeeper for Ryan’s Service in Youngstown for 18 years, and had worked at St. Paul’s Monastery on Rte 224. She was also a practical nurse. Sally was a member of St. Columba Catholic Church and enjoyed doing crafts including crocheting and knitting afghans. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Sally is preceded in death by her husband Raymond Gilbert, whom she married June 19, 1961 and passed away on December 12, 2007; two adopted sons: Howard and William; two sisters: Catherine, and Ann; and two brothers: Michael “Mickey” and Johnny. Lane Funeral Home Mineral Ridge has been entrusted to handle the arrangements.
