Mary Grace Reno

February 27, 1915 — January 5, 2006

Mary G. Reno formerly of Brookfield, OH, died at 12:20 AM Thursday at Sharon Regional Hospital. She was 90. Mrs. Reno was born in West Middlesex, PA on Feb. 27, 1915, a daughter of Daniel and Rose Eyerdam Doolin Sr. She was a 1932 graduate of Hickory High School. Mary loved to travel all over, especially California and Florida. She also found pleasure in being a homemaker for her family. Mrs. Reno worked during World War II for Farrell Ordnance Plant which assembled torpedoes. She was also owner and operator of Reno’s Restaurant in Ventura, CA. Her first husband, Arch Reno, whom she married in 1951, died in 1972. Her second husband Chancy DeAlvy Reno whom she married, July 1, 1978, died in 2004. Survivors include: 1 step-son, Charles D. and his wife Janet Reno of Medina, OH; 1 sister, Sara Jones of Hermitage, PA; 2 grandchildren, Robin Blanco and Scott Reno; 1 great grandchild, Devin Blanco. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: her parents; step-mother, Sadie Hast Doolin; 2 brothers, Daniel Jr. and Ronald Doolin. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 AM Saturday at the St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church, Masury, with Rev. John Lody, Calling hours will be from 4-7 PM Friday at the Madasz Funeral Chapel. Family will also receive people at 8 AM Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Brookfield Twp. Cemetery.
