Mary Gura

Lake Milton- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 Am Thursday in St. Catherine’s Church for Mary Gura, age 89 of Lake Milton who died Monday morning in St. Elizabeth Hospital. Mary was born Oct. 21, 1916 in Allentown, Pa and was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Lukas) Hromyak. She had owned and operated with her husband Lakeside Golf Course from 1958-1972. She was a member of St. Catherine’s Church and liked to do crossword puzzles, sew, knitt and play golf. Her husband John Gura whom she married Aug. 12, 1937 died Dec. 17, 1999. She is survived by two daughters Joan (Allen) Blazek of Lake Milton, Dorothy Hash with whom she made her home, a son-in-law Albert Mudrinich of Mission Viejo, Calif., a sister Anna (Andy) Shuluga of Streetsboro, OH, a brother Michael (Rosemary) Hromyak of Boardman, 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a daughter Roselyn Mudrinich who died in Dec 2005 and two brothers Steve and John Hromyak. Friends may call at St. Catherine’s Church from 9-11AM Thursday prior to the Mass. The family requests that material contributions be made to Hospice of the Valley.
