Mary H. McKenney, 83, of Southington passed away 6:11 AM Tuesday Feb. 15, 2011 at Hospice of the Valley’s Hospice House in Poland of complications from a stroke. She was born Oct. 2, 1927 in Warren the daughter of Louis and Nora (Eagan) Ketter. Mary attended Leavittsburg High School and worked at numerous markets and theaters in the area prior to her marriage. A lifetime Warren area resident, she was a member of St. Pius X Church. Mary enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as traveling, fishing, flowers, baking, and word puzzles. She was known for her generosity and kind heart. She will be deeply missed by her husband Hubert H. McKenney whom she married July 30, 1960 and happily celebrated their golden anniversary last year. She also leaves a sister Elizabeth Bulvony of Howland, daughter Nora F. McCombs of Wilmington, NC, 2 sons Kevin D. (Peggy) of Champion, David of Las Vegas, 3 grandchildren Chuck McCombs and fiancé Kimmie , Cassie McCombs, both of Wilmington, Hunter B. McKenney of Champion, great grandson Trenton McCombs of Leavittsburg, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers; Charles and Paul Ketterer, Louis Ketter Jr. and by a sister Rose Lawrence. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Friday Feb. 18, 2011 at Roberts-Clark Chapel where friends will be received from 9:30 until service time. The Rev. Bernard Schmalzried will officiate. Interment will be in All Souls Cemetery. The family suggests material contributions be made to Hospice of the Valley’s Hospice House 9803 Sharrott Rd. Poland, OH 44514.
