A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 9:30 AM Monday at St. Charles Catholic Church in Boardman for Mary Hope Kirila of Struthers who passed away on Thursday evening at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center. Mary was born February 28, 1919 in Campbell the daughter of Nicholas and Mary (Granatowski) Korecki. A homemaker and mother, Mary was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church where she was a member of their Altar and Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Ladies Knights of Columbus in Struthers, the Astro Weight Club, the Struthers Businessmen’s Club, and the Ukrainian Lodge in Struthers. Mary leaves three children: Ellen M. and her husband Jim Hunter of Aurora, Mary E. Kirila of Boardman, and Michael J. Kirila, Jr. and his fiancée Mary Beth Barbush of Canfield. She also leaves a sister Helen and her husband Romeo Ricci of Youngstown. Mary also leaves four grandchildren: Ryan and Tracy Hunter, Tiffany and Brandon Kirila as well as a great granddaughter Cameron Kirila. She was preceded in death by her husband Michael J. Kirila, Sr. whom she married December 28, 1946 and passed away April 6, 1989. She was also preceded in death by two sisters: Ann Gardner and Julia Williams as well as brothers John and Michael Korecki. Friends and family may call from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Sunday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel as well as from 8:30 to 9:00 AM on Monday, at the church.
