Mary J. Creed

Memorial services will be Thursday at 9:30 am at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Niles for Mary J. Creed who passed away Sunday at Shepherd of the Valley, Howland. Mary was born February 7, 1915 in North Jackson a daughter of the late Charles D. and Flossie (Kistler) James. She was a lifelong member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and served as the General Superintendant of Sunday School. She was a charter member of the Lordstown Garden Club, a member of the Ida McKinley Eastern Star in Niles, and the Rebekah Lodge. Her husband, Park Creed, whom she married in August of 1937, passed away November 8, 1999. Mary will be sadly missed by her daughter Patricia (Thomas) Rusk of Warren; and four grandchildren: Mary Rusk of Warren, Pamela Rusk of Lordstown, Barbara Rusk of Albuquerque, NM, and Thomas Rusk of Hartwick, NY. Besides her parents and husband, Mary was predeceased by a sister Kathryn Lynn and a brother Roy James. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or the American Diabetes Association in Mary's name. Friends may call from 9:00 am until the time of the services Thursday at the church. Lane Family Funeral Home has been entrusted to handle the arrangements.
