Mary J. Martin

Austintown- Funeral services will be held 2 pm Monday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Mary Martin who died early Thursday morning. Mary was born July 17, 1930 in Youngstown the daughter of John and Ada (Hughes) Hart and was a life long area resident. Mary was employed by Pitney-Bowes as an office worker retiring in 1992. She was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church, Suburban Night Bowling League at Wedgwood Lanes, Charter Member Eagles #3298 and Austintown VFW 4237 Auxiliary. She is survived by her daughter Janet Bennett of Austintown, grandson, Brandon Bennett of Austintown, sisters; Ada Smolek, Betty Martin both of Austintown, Elsie Certain of O’Brian, FL., Vera Selitski of Austintown, nephew Bill Vuletich of Austintown, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her husband James V. Martin whom she married July 30, 1951 and who died January 20, 1998, also her parents and brothers; John “Red” and Bobby Hart. Family and friends may call from 1-2 pm Monday at the funeral home prior to services.
