Mary Jane Dick

Mary Jane Dick, 74 Austintown: There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, June 16th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Parish, 3504 Main Street, Mineral Ridge for Mary Jane Dick, 74 of Austintown who passed away peacefully at Hospice House of Poland surrounded by her family. Mary Jane was born January 20, 1941 in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Michael and Mary Pihonsky Seman and was a lifelong area resident. Mary Jane graduated from Poland Seminary High School in 1959 and had worked as a Sacristan for St. Mary's for 20 years. She was a member of the church and the Women's Guild of the church, a member of the Mahoning Valley Korean War Veterans Association. Mary Jane was a member of a card club for over 50 years where she enjoyed playing 500 bid and also enjoyed floral arranging and design. Her husband, James Dick whom she married April 15, 1961 died November 17, 2001. She leaves two daughters, Linda (Ken) Olinik of Greenford, Barbara (Ward) McClemens of Apollo Beach, Florida; three sons, Michael Dick, James (Lori) Dick both of Austintown, Thomas Dick of Apollo Beach, Florida; 11 grandchildren, Scott, Amanda, Stephen, Lauren, Marisa, Juanita, Hunter, Jenna, Nicholas, Nathan and Tommy and one great-granddaughter, Ayla. Mary Jane also leaves her brother, Theodore Seman of Boardman and her fiance' of 12 years, Robert Bakalik. Mary Jane was preceded in death by two sisters, Ann Wittenaur, Margaret Ruse and a brother, Michael Seman. Friends may call on Monday from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the mass at the church.
