Mary Jane Zemba, 88 Boardman: There will be a memorial service 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 22nd at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 119 Stadium Dr., Boardman for Mary Jane Zemba, 88 who passed away peacefully in her sleep early Wednesday morning at her residence. Mary Jane was born August 2, 1927 in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Howard and Elizabeth Simcox Hoover. She graduated from South High School in January 1945 and attended Ohio Wesleyan University where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. Mary Jane graduated from Youngstown College in 1949 with a Bachelors Degree in Sociology and Psychology. She was elected May Queen in 1949. After graduation she worked as a secretary to the manager of the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services. In later years, Mary Jane was employed as an admissions director for the former Westwood Rehabilitation Medical Center. Mary Jane was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. Her husband, Joseph Zemba, whom she married June 12, 1953, died November 18, 2009. She leaves her daughter, Patricia Jo (Douglas) Westfall of Poland; a son. James Joseph (Pamela) Zemba of Cuyahoga Falls; five grandchildren, Megan Perruzzi, Lucas Perruzzi, Michael Zemba, Brian Westfall and Joseph Perruzzi. Friends may call for one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. The family requests material tributes take the form of contributions to the Westminster Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund. Arrangements are being handled by Lane Family Funeral Homes, Anstrom Chapel, Boardman.
