Mary Mesarich

Mary Mele Mesarich, passed away Wednesday evening at Heartland of Waterville in Waterville, OH. She was born July 11, 1917 in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Silvio and Rose Garnet (Mele). She was a cook for St. Elizabeth Hospital and retired as a cook from Northside Medical Center. Mary was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Austintown prior to moving to Grand Rapids. She is preceded in death by her husband Stephen Mesarich whom she married October 16, 1937. Mary is survived by four children: Steven and his wife Barbara Mesarich of Austintown, Joseph and his wife Sandy Mesarich of Bend, OR, Mary Ann Salmon of Austintown, and Carole and her late husband Patrick Murphy of Streetsboro; a sister Janet Ignazio of Austintown; ten grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, Mary is preceded in death by three sisters: Phyllis Hart, Betty Hagenbring, and Carmel Mele; and four brothers: Patrick, Daniel, Phil and Joseph Mele. There will be a funeral service 2 PM Wednesday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel, where friends and family may call from 1-2 PM prior to the service.
